Mechanical Design Engineering
Scott joined ESI as an HVAC Project Engineer in April 2004 with 10 years of experience in the field of HVAC design for various types of structures including healthcare facilities, high-rise office buildings, laboratories, and educational buildings. His industry experience gives him a strong base of engineering expertise including system design, equipment selection, and the ability to see designs from the conceptual stages of design through bid review, construction administration, and system installation.
While at ESI, Scott has specialized in HVAC Engineering of Infrastructure Projects in commercial, university and healthcare facilities. He has been involved in numerous energy conservation projects including the replacement of central chiller plants, the design and installation of central station custom air handling units, site utilities infrastructure upgrades, and upgrades/modifications of Energy Management Systems. The majority of these projects were retrofit designs of new mechanical systems in existing buildings requiring extensive field work and close coordination with operating personnel.
Prior to joining ESI, Scott was with Shooshanian Engineering Associates, Inc, a large MEP/FP engineering consulting firm. While there, he progressed from CAD draftsman to Mechanical Designer working on building mechanical systems for high tech, corporate, educational, and high-rise office buildings. Later, he joined TMP Consulting Engineers, and Building Engineering Resources Inc as HVAC Project Engineer where he further honed his skills in building systems design.Scott is also a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRA).
